Unlike a Major Recording Agreement, a production agreement doesn't necessarily get your songs out for sale to the masses.

But, also unlike a Major Recording Agreement, you have not given up your freedom, multiple album commitments, and all kinds of deductions for manufacturing, distribution, free goods, record clubs, etc...

With a production agreement, you can end up with finished masters and the right to shop your own deal, without being or getting deeply in debt to a label and wondering if you'll ever see another cent from anything you do.
